Meet your 2022/23 Exec Team
The Astronomy Club at York University is a club organized by York University students and is dedicated to helping people learn new and interesting things about astronomy. At bi-weekly meetings, ACYU attendees may get the chance to listen to a guest speaker with a professional astronomical background present an interesting topic in astronomy, and get the opportunity to ask the speaker questions, go on special trips of astronomical significance, go to star parties, and more! Come get to meet people with like interests that share love for all things Astronomy related, from astrophotography, to science fiction, and cutting edge Astronomy research.

Greetings!! I'm Nakul (Nakul Sethuram Ramjee) and I will be the Vice-President of the Astronomy club for the year 2022-2023. I'm currently doing my second year in honours Physics and Astronomy. I'm also a working member at the Allan I. Carswell observatory at York University. The best part of me is I love music and Astronomy, and of course, one can get to see me admiring them always!!

I've always been intrigued by the great expanse of space. Questions of the unknown and the workings of the universe have caught my attention and rendered me speechless at the vastness of our world, it led me to pursue a minor in Astrophysics after completing my major in Chemistry. I will be the ACYU secretary executive this year.

Hi, my name is Sergiy Kernytsky. I'm a third year Physics and Astronomy undergraduate student at York University. I was born in Simferopol but moved to Toronto when I was a year old. I love physics, math, linguistics, history, and some of my favourite hobbies include cooking, baking, learning, and going out for walks.
