Welcome to Astronomy Club’s first event of the Winter term!

Join us for an exciting event with Professor John Moores, author of Daydreaming in the Solar System! In his book, Professor Moores takes you on a captivating journey through 15 extraordinary locations in our Solar System, imagining them as National Parks, each with its own unique story. With over 62 years of scientific data, this talk will blend fascinating science and storytelling to explore the wonders of our celestial neighborhood.

Date: Thursday, January 16, 2025

Time: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Location: Petrie Science & Engineering Building, Room 317

After Professor Moores' talk, we'll dive into an interactive myth-busting session, where we'll challenge common misconceptions in physics and astronomy! Get ready to engage, learn, and explore the truth behind popular space myths. Enjoy free snacks, drinks, and the chance to purchase a signed copy of the book!

You also get a chance to engage with the author during the Q&A session!

Whether you're a space enthusiast or just curious, this event is perfect for everyone. See you there!
