Mercury Transit 2016 With ACYU

The Transit of Mercury is a relatively rare event which occurs when Mercury passes between the Sun and the Earth. The last transit occurred in 2006 and there is one more coming up in 2019, but after that there won't be another transit until 2032.

So join us on May 9th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM as we team up with the York Observatory staff to give you an opportunity to see it with your own eyes! The telescopes will be set up at Lion Stadium @ York U, and admission is free. We look forward to seeing you there!
